What is your schedule for picking this thing up. I don't have much time home between trips here to florida. I am home 8/5 thru 8/8. I have one date with a woman I haven't met yet but saving a van seems to be paramount. What are your ideas Ken?

Thank god the Lion's Den has been saved. I too am in Bill's club. I wanted to buy it from him when he was selling it but I already had a new project van.

I just spoke with Thomas, the guy who has the Den.
We made the arrangements for me to go up Monday and retrieve it. As it turns out, he's a really nice guy. He doesn't understand vanning, and thought he could get a free motor and tranny if he parted it out. He now understands what this van means to us.
Although Jeff maybe should have communicated with us more, he too is a stand up guy. He didn't want to sell it to Thomas, but circumstances set him to the point of having to get rid of it. I guess we all thought that someone would buy it and do the right thing with it.

I would love to have the van. Right now I do not have any $ to buy it from Boot, if he would want to sell it, but I am toying with the idea of doing the work on the van and I may know someone who could patch the murals when done.

Don't tell Debbie yet though!

Boot, let me know what your plans are.

i'm glad to hear after all the efforts last night into early this mornig paid off and everyone turned out to be great people. i'm just glad that Thomas kept emailing me back before anything happened. the credits on saving this piece of history lies completely on Boot. i'm glad i got a chance to meet you while I was on vacation 1700 miles away. i also have alot of vacation time left and am itching for another vacation so anything i can do to help i'll be there.

I'm so glad that the Den won't be parted! That would have been a huge shame--glad you guys were all able to make it work--Vanners are the best!

Three Cheers for Boot! (Oh, and thanks for taking the guilt off my conscience for almost letting Lion's Den disappear.... <img src="http://www.websmileys.com/sm/sad/1201.gif" alt=" - " /> )

I think tht is the quickest I have ever seen vanners jump. Just really glad the Den won't go under the torch. I hate to think of the sides cut out and hanging on the wall of someones shop. The guy that had the van I got a lot of my interior from made the same comment, but the mural on that wasn't done as well, and there were some serious holes in that van. hat's off to Boot!
