Thanks to all of you that attended Flamingo Fest 19 from 13 states (VA to AZ!) and the invasion from Canada!
We were thrilled to have you all in attendance this year!

There will be a Flamingo Fest 20--August 20-22 2010 in New York! We are working out the details for this eVANt now. Special thanks to all those in attendance for the aide, patience and understanding that is sometimes required of the attendees--you all handled everything in true Vanner Style and everyone seemed to have a really good time. Don't know what more I can say--Swimmster and Knighty have both written wonderful reports of our little party and there is little more that can be added! Swim--so glad you finally got out to one--and a good one at that! Knighty--you know we are always thrilled to see you and your lovely bride every year at FF!

That takes care of one rumour--now for another--just so there is no confusion--and it is a bit personal, but since the news was put out at Flamingo Fest I will include it here (I think the BG will forgive this one moment!) The Wednesday before Flamingo Fest I had a biopsy on my right breast--the results came back on Friday and it was clear. I wish with all my heart that others had the same news. I am nearly healed from the procedure, but today's typing will keep me quiet for another day or two. What I want to impress on all of you--Ladies--get your mammogram!! It is better to know and do something if needed, or just a sigh if your results are like mine. They don't hurt--just a little pinch like a Frenchman would do!! hee hee Guys--get your prostrate checked! Again--it is better to know than not. And early detection is one of the best ways to fight cancer, a positive attitude is another! If you don't want to do it for yourselves--think of us Bad Girls and how much we want you to be well! We love you!

The winner of the fantastic 50/50 raffle that Bert sells for us every year was Greg Gearns! Odie won $480 at Flamingo Fest this year! Congrats Greg!
