Sorry to hear of some of you folks misfortune...really stinks.
Bobert..didn't know you were out of work...congrats.
I am very appreciative to be still working for Northrop Grumman after 9 years. I'm low man on the totem pole and when "talk" of layoffs start up, I get nervous.

well i like this thread alot i am a welder certified by nasa in the 90's, and also have done somw e underground uttility work ie sewer water and sub grade for housing subdavisions was working in the mobile marketing ind for dewalt till laid off.been off for a year now have a cdl class a. thanks

Take me off this list, after 18 months of unemployment [thanks tax payees] & rite in time for vanniin season I'am back in the work force, not woodworking but making wire & engineered battery cable for companies like Airstream, Buell, Caterpillar, John Deer, Freightliner, Harley Davidson, Polaris & many more. Kalas is in Denver Pa. about 20 min. drive for me but is 3rd shift they just started cause they are that busy. every other weekend is manatory overtime, after 90 days I get full bennies & after one year I get two weeks paid vacation which these days sounds good to me. So I hope to be vannin in between work, till than van on. Kalas sounds like a good company. Are they still hiring? Do they hire people who's never worked in a factory before?

check out kalaswire.com for info on available jobs. or google for info. they are expanding production lines.
