I about ducked when I saw you posted Reed :-) . I knew you had plenty of know how when it comes to the Ford FI. I am gonna read up on all that. Then tomorrow, I am going to set it and forget it. The guy I got this van from had a "mechanic" replace the Ignition Control Module once before. Then he not the mechanic thought about turning the distributor to make it run right. Ok long story short, I am going to be cleaning up someone's mistake here. Ah well, I am happy all this piddly annie sheet is getting done so I dont have to worry about it! Thank you for all your help and posts Reed!

Hey, I am happy to share what I have learned through hard experience. If I can keep someone from making the same mistakes I have, I consider myself a success.

Thanks for the kudo's aftoyboy. Well today I got the new part from Napa to the tune of $40. I just put it in around 2:15 today. I was so excited to hear the ol girl purr again After dinner, I am going to go out and time her correctly. Tomorrow, I am also going to get the new (used) rubber put on that I picked up today. I picked up a set of four 235/75/15 Firestone Destination LE's with about 65% tread for $75. Well, that is about it for now. I will update later!

Reed, I took the Dist out and put it back the way it was when I took it apart (one tooth back). I then started it where I thought #1 was. It started, sputtered and died. I then turned the dist counter clockwise and she fired and idled. I then determined that the #1 plug wire location was wrong on the cap. So I bumped the wires back one terminal (counter clockwise) on the cap and reset the dist to where it should be. She fired and purred. I got the light on it and didnt see the mark. So, I put some paint on the mark and lined her up. After I plugged the spout connector in, I checked the mark and it looked like it was about 12-15 BTDC. I also gave her a rev, she felt a little tight. So tomorrow after I drive her, I might loosen her up just a pinch. I'll upload new pics here in a little bit.. thanks for all the wisdom!

The timing mark is supposed to advance a bit after the SPOUT is plugged back in. That means the computer is controlling the timing.

Well, I double checked the timing after I drove it around town. Everything is spot on!! She runs so good. Every time I start her I am just in awe!! Anyways.. I have a question regarding the kick panel vent on the drivers side. Every time it rains hard, it leaks on the interior (which is how the floor rusted out I bet). How do I get this thing out to re-seal without pulling the whole bloomin dashboard? I have been so incredibly busy, I havent had the time to get pictures uploaded, sorry guys! I'll try to find tomorrow sometime. I have to put the radiator in the Escort, study for a test Monday in my business law class, and write up a rough draft of my resume, phew! Tomorrow is gonna be busy busy!

What kick panel vent? You might have a leaky windshield but I have never seen a kick panel vent in a 75-91 Ford, even ones without A/C. Then again, maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. Can you post a picture?
