Yeah on new vehicles you never want to replace the fuel pump haha. Heck, on my truck it's easier to unbolt the bed and get access that way HAHA. I just can't get over how I dropped the tank in less then 10 minutes LOL

Back from the dead....I parked it because I have been having engine running problems. Its at random times while driving and it will all of a sudden just be firing on 2 cylinders and wont go over like 20 mph. It sounds like a 6 cylinder and drones so bad. I shut it off, start it up 10 minutes later and its right back to the v8 again. I am just stumped. Im gonna do timing, and mess with the carb saturday or maybe tomorrow. Im wiring in a new stereo and speakers and some wiring for my subs from my truck. 2 12 inch alpine comps. I also got some 10 inch rims for the rear. pictures to come tomorrow.

What kind of ignition system are you running in this van? Sounds like it could be a bad ignition module or a messed up distributor.

It has the stock motorcraft duraspark. Its weird becasue it will be cruising then go in and out of this weird no power, backfiring, misfiring drone. Shut it off, and restart a few minutes later and its a v8 again.

Back to the van again..its getting warmer outside haha. Swapped back windows, had junky plexiglass popouts with rainbow stickers...I was not diggin that at all. Got glass in place and it's good as new. Hope to get this running maybe saturday.
