Which of the 9 or more Springfield's do you have in mind...like I said details are important...

The other important part to remember is that for Vanner Express to work, it is contingent the participants attending eVANt's or at least being on the route between runs.....the chances of successful transfers are being in the areas that Vanner's roam....otherwise, it may be part way and commercial shipping, which will cost you in Crating/Packaging to protect the parts..

LOL ... there are NINE Springfields in the U.S. - really? Heh, gotta love that - no imagination when it come to naming places. Ok, it's Springfield, Illinois - the parts are in Riverton area which the seller said is near to Springfield area.

Yeah, I know fully well and am perpared to pay the transporting within Canada to my place. I just need to get the parts come to Canada by vanner express. My other option is to to ship them to Washington State near U.S. border.

My biggest problem is to find who would be willing to stow these parts in storage for short-term until I can come pick them up in my van. PM me if you know something in details - ok? Thanks.

Going with Doc's suggestion above ... I'm hoping for the best luck - lol!

The bottom line is that I need huge help from someone who can do vanner express in the east side.

I had brought a few parts and they are large - Two gullwing (fiberglass) doors and one sun visor. They're all boxed already and are in the seller's garage in Springfield, IL region.

I see at least 3 options for delivery to my location:

OPTION #1

Pick up the parts and deliver them into U.S./Canada border to Toronto region. Ship them through Greyhound express or truck delivery. Doc said to me that he had done the same thing with gullwing doors in shipping them to Edmonton at $400 shipping cost.

I'm fine with that and would pay that much for shipping in Canada. I'd also be willing to pay some gas for vanner express in Illinois.

OPTION #2

Ship the parts by courier delivery, Greyhound express or whatever within U.S. from Illinois to any of 3 northwest states: Washington, Idaho or Montana. I need someone who lives in one of these states to ask for permit in receiving the parts for me. Storage them for short term so I can plan a van trip to pick them up from your location.

I'd pay for the shipping cost and I'm game for the van trip to any of 3 northwest states for the pick-up. PM me about this option - thanks.
OPTION #3

This is a long shot and might have little chance but I'll give it a try if possible. I'm willing to go for a van trip to Toronto region to pick up the parts. This could mean a vanner express from West Coast to East Coast to deliver van parts for members here. For me - that trip could cost me by gas (about $800 by guess for the full trip). I can do in summer season after I get my tax refund to use for the trip.

The catch is that I'll need someone who can pick up the parts and storage them until I can come pick them up there. Anyone willing for that? Please PM me about this - thanks!

The seller wants the parts be out of his garage by end of February. So I'd like to respect his wishes on that.

So there you have it - they're on table and I'm hoping for the best to work out in getting my parts. They are the most important part of my van project as you can see!

Thanks for your reading and whatever ideas you have - let's hear on here.

One other option would be come to this years Nats in Ohio and get someone to bring them there from IL for you grin Would be a longer trip for you, but you'll fit a Nats into picking up your parts.

Hmm, Looked up on google maps and it's bit one and half day's time by driving. Google shows the fastest route to be going through Springfield, IL and going to Ohio. This route wouldn't be going to Toronto but going into U.S. from Saskatchewan southbound.

That option you suggest ... might work but will have to wait until I know how much I get for tax refund. Then I'll decide, I knew the trip will be nice for me but is still not stone carved - lol!

Still, the problem remains - who will be willing to storage the parts for me until I go get the parts??

I think bus shipping is out because they have size limitations on what can fit in the luggage holds of the buses.
