Man I really wanted to go but not sure if the funds will be there. Two weeks ago the van fell off the jacks stands to the ground, only thing is it damaged the hood as the hood was open and flew up then shut with the prop rod sticking out where the front fender and hood seam meet. Since that happened I figured if I'm gonna fix the van make it better than it was. I bought a 70s fiberglass hood with the molded scoop from a vanner and now have decided to repaint the front clip. Had some small cracks on the lower front spoiler and left flare, also ordered a new front bumper. This whole deal including the hood I purchased is gonna set me back about 4000. I still haven't painted the motor yet, I have a box of chrome here waiting to go on. I'm just a regular guy living check to check! I'll see what I can do but not sure, one estimate was 3500 to do the front. Going to see another guy about 35 miles away, he says that was too much. At any rate I really wanna get this all fixed and have her perfect again.

WOW MARK,who are the thieves your dealin with ? that's what i got qouted for a complete van re-paint - that is wayyyyyyyy to much money !!

Just got back from a body shop 41 miles away. To repaint the front clip and both hoods 2200. Going there, he can't take the van though until mid August.

Oh I know it is an easy drive out 80 to get there. Just the $$$ to do it. Have not given up hope yet. Although if we do make it it will not be with the van. Something more serious than the pan gasket on the tranny. Leaking from the rear bearing or something. forget what he called it. Runs down the tranny along the pan and drips off the front. Lost 3 quarts in 2.5 weeks. Good thing I catch it in a clean pan. Keep dumping it back in.
Did not send a pre-reg in for vending and would only have the motorhome to bring. Hence our dilemma at this point.

We are in, although will not be able to leave till Friday morning so just a 2 day party for us. I sent our pre-reg a few weeks ago have not heard anything. Anybody heading west bound through northern Indiana via 80/90 Indiana Toll Road we are about 2 miles from exit 83, on 6 acres and have plenty of room if anybody needs to take a break, camp or just meet and have a beer send me a PM. We about 3-3 1/2 hours from the Nats.

I plan on being there. Plan on being there Friday, havent decided if I want to drive thru Chicago before morning traffic or after morning traffic.

Its hard, considering just finished pro streeting my Astro, but I am skipping some area shows, to make sure I have the funds.

Its really kinda of nuts, $10-$15 + gas to go to area car shows.
