Started tearing the brakes apart today (pretty rusty but the van sat for 10 years). Ordered new parts so I hope to have it all put back together this weekend and then I can FINALLY drive it in and out of the garage to work on it!!! Guess this would be a good time to replace all of the tires since they are off (the van sat for 10 years so they are pretty dry rotted).

WHOOOO HOOOOO.....I got to drive my van the first time today since I brought it home last December. I have been doing a lot of mechanical work the past few months....getting the engine loose and running after sitting for 10 years, new fuel tank, sending unit, fuel lines, fuel pump, etc and this weekend I redid all of the brakes...new cylinders, new calipers, new master cylinder, etc and I drove it out of the garage and down my driveway and back!!!! Now I need to get new tires (these are really old and dry rotted) but I can at least pull it out of the garage to sand, grind and do some body work.
Felt GREAT to sit in it and actually drive it!!!!!
