I have given up on my 85 pro street Astro. The rust and bodywork, just too expensive to fix. I sold the motor, tranny and a few other parts to pay cost transferring the pro street parts to my 98 LS1 Astro. torching the narrowed rear suspension out all cut out The rear suspension removed from 98 Astro inner panels cut for tubs, floor cut out - so rear frame can be mounted & welded in, frame rails will be cut out after narrowed frame is welded in

No worries about the 85, my 98 will be a nicer Astro. It has a 99 Trans Am all aluminum LS1 motor. It has air, tilt, power windows and cruise. pictures from today: We got te narrowed rear up, lined up, just need to weld into place. here is van before we started

Rust sucks so you made the right decision in my opinion. Top that off with the creature options and you'll enjoy it more. I look forward to following the work so please keep the pictures coming.
