When it comes down to it it is that authors opinion of what better.
Again thirty years of welding repairing every thing from cargo containers to D9 bulldozers to Al John car crushers tells me the product [WD 40] works.
IF this product did NOT work I would just let you talk your BS.

So, anyway. Tried to install my stereo yesterday, while i was fishing around for speaker wires i left the van on and killed the battingi good thing i got a spare! Time to run and get some speaker wire today and hopefully a dash face will magically appear in my mail box soon.

Wookee- I don't what I did to tick you off so much, but apparently it was something. I have been a home mechanic and home repairer and hobbyist for 30 years and I used think WD-40 was great, until I tried using the chemical actually designed to be a penetrating lubricant. Use whatever makes you happy, but in my experience, and apparently in the experience of others, WD-40 is not a good penetrating lubricant.

Glad to hear you had a spare battery and are making progress wiring up your stereo.
