Portland to Elkhorn

The van's all set for the long trek to Elkhorn Wisconsin this july! I was wondering if any of you had a preferred route there from Portland, OR. I plan on taking my time and stopping here and there. Mileage is important of course, but if one way's better than the other I don't mind driving a little longer. Any thoughts?

That is going to be one sweet "Road Trip".
No rental van this year.....
I have not been farther west than Wisconsin driving YET.
These is rumors of a van event in the Seattle area in a year or two.
I really want to do that "Road Trip"

Yeah wookee, shes good to go (mechanically) from front to back. Why road trip in quotes? Should I change it to "road quest"?
