Ask them to name a convicted child molester that used a van.

I love all the obnoxious revenge suggestions.

But the reality is, you're right to bite your tongue and take the high road with those jackasses. If, god forbid, it ever escalates to a legal dispute, you want to be the one who comes off as rational and squeaky-clean, and let them (rightfully) look like the crazy ignorant ones.

People in glass houses should not throw stones.

Case in point.
Chester the Molester was a cartoon in none other than Hustler magazine.
So that gives you a little light on the person that made that comments reading material...

People really need to mind there own business.

Good point Wookee! I have been taking my boy to his ball games in my van and funny but the women commented on it and said it was cool. Ok fine. The last game I went to a guy I see on differnt jobs was there with his son playing against us and when we got there I went over and said hi. He said somthing about the "molester van" and I just looked at him shook my head and walked away. He came and apologized and I could tell he felt like an idiot. That seemed to do more than if I would have done what I wanted to. angel

Appearing defensive just makes them feel like they are in the right.

Just saying 'Aww, man, why do you have to talk like that?' would probably be better.

Or, like above, just walk away.

Hey Mark (Vanpunk)just a question or two.
Is this the same van that was wrecked the winter of '09?
Has it been sitting in the yard ever since or have you been driving it?
The reason I ask is, if it has a current tag and is legally parked, why would code enforcement say anything at all?

Around here vehicles that sit have to have a current tag and be in the "driveway". If it's otherwise then it has to be out of site from the county road. Unless you have a farm, then everything's a farm vehicle (within reason). Mostly it's left up to the responding officer to judge the situation.
