I am going today to look at an 83 chevy Custom.
I have not looked at any pics so I have no idea what to expect. Says it has a rebuilt tranny. Rally wheels, and running boards. Hoping to trade my 4 runner even if its any good. Its a low top conversion Im told. Ill update later,.

Ok, van is in ok shape.....Needs complete exhaust. No rust, a few dents. Runs pretty good. Needs carb work. Does not appear to leak oil, but who knows if it uses it. Has no interior, and way too many windows, but i kinda like em. Tires are pretty decent (low air pressure)....Tranny shifts good (def. has a shift kit....seats look good....driver swivel is shot....has potential, but.....It is a 305 4 barrel, new flywheel, needs brake work. Odo says 08xxx....probably 208xxx....supposed rebuilt engine at some point. Has the Original brown upho;stery on the two front captain seats, has one rear captain seat not bolted in, and the original z bed.. also not bolted in. overhead console is there with an original old Cb.. Cracked windshield. Starter seemed to drag a bit....I think I may pass. I can sell the 4 runner for a bonified 1500 or more....Its no more than a 1000 dollar van at best. plus 1/2 the fuel mileage...maybe Ill keep looking. I want a shorty dodge with a slant really.

Well it was nothing special, just blah....money pit out the gate. Id hate to trade away my 4 runner for a POS, my runner had 293k and still going strong!

We shall see. like I said, id like a DD, so I can work on the Unknown as I drive. I miss driving while she is under the knife. I have the astro, but its not the same. Ill keep on looking and when the time is right, ill know.
