I GUESS that it will come to nobody's surprise that we would show up at this latest- number 32 to be exact- in the Provanity series as developed and run by Salt City Vans....You know them. They are the game masters of the universe .....We have been following then for many of those 32 years, but can't tell for sure when we started. I can tell you though that we well remember those days in the field up on some hill when vans were king and the terrain was mud !

We arrived early, despite having 4 hours spent at a Ford dealership. Coming down I-81 we noticed that the volt meter was reading 10...not good...got it cleared up at the dealer and still arrived well before sunset....It was an extremely hot weekend and many of us spent the hotter portion of the day huddled under our tarps and drinking refreshing beverages...I know it's supposed to be water- but come on !

This particular event is special because it is one of the few remaining events that are van only...If you belong to a van club, have a pickup, and give them the old sad eye- OK you can come in....I don't know why more of the folks who harp on the van only thang don't show up for this particular event....66 of us DID !

It was great and I saw a few vans that I had not seen before..and some that I can't get enough of....Larry Floss's Dodge "Luv2van" has recently had some serious work done ...trim removed, holes filled, hood modifications and white pearl paint with ghost flames. DynOmite !
Bernie had his awesome Blubeast in attendance and won several trophies including Best of Show....Bernie- I'm sorry that I don't recall your last name but with a van like that be assuured that
EVERYONE knows you ! And I cannot get enough looks at Georgi's Ford van that has come so far and so well.....It seems to look better each time I see it .

But in spite of arriving early it was still over too soon and we headed back up to the woods where we are restocking and cleaning up the old '88 as we prepare to get to Wisconsin for the upcoming nats.....I know it's a long haul , but it IS the natz...Come out if you can....TIETIS .

By the way- they had cool dash plaques too...Drive -In Theater theme.....

Great write-up as usual

Some of us were going over recent changes in health of vanner's at Knighty, Lucy's and Dr Pokey's site at Provantity.

The point is we were there in person discussing this and I look forward to these personal discussions for a long, long time ...

More fun going to an eVANt and talking about stuff sitting down with some cold ones, than it is sitting at home chatting on line.....
