Here is my 1982 G10. I am from Iceland so my english writing might not be that good.
Bought it june 29 2012, desided to start with the interior so I can use it as is this summer, but when winter comes I will repaint it.
The day I bought her
Came home, took some more pictures and changed the wheel covers.
It was full of mold and waterdamage on the inside from standing. Much worse in person.
So I started the rebuild of the interior. And note this is a budget build.
Now that everything was out that I wanted gone, let the rebuild of the interior begin.
Those seats came from an old Volvo 240
Didn't want them, had some seats from 1978 Nova laying around. desided to put them in instead. Wasn't quite sure how I would mount them in so I decided to save that for later while I was thinking about it.
So I cleaned up the floor and put new carpet in.
And here is when I started on the walls
Somewhere in the meantime I desided to put the seats back in.
And back to the walls
And the top, didn't know what to do with it, but found up in the attic an old blanket of mine.
And here you can see the side door
and more of the interior
Hit the jackpot ore so to speak. Got meself a couple of captein chairs, I am going to redo them red as the interior.
And this is what I have done so far will update as it goes on
thank you all for viewing.

Thank you all.
The box in the back used to hold an LP tank I think it's called, for the stove that was in it and for the stand alone heating system. But now I use it for spare gas, tools and stuff. It's been proven very useful to have.

you got there,I like the new red interior and those captain chairs well fit right in once you redo them. Keep the pics coming. Don't worry about you spelling I've been spelling my English wrong for over 50 years and it hasn't stopped me.

Thanks to you all, glad you like it. Here are pics of what I did today.
drivers door
The storage unit. I will redo that again when I repaint the car. Didn't look quite as well as I imagined it would do.
the back almost readyy. I will not use this table so the plate that covers the backdoors and the foot under it will go eventually. And when I repaint the car, I will take everything out again and the inside of it will be painted red to match the interior. Haven't made up my mind what color it will have on the outside yet.
Here I wanted to do red/white stripes because of the stars in the back, but having difficulty finding the right fabrik for it.
And yeah also I put 2 inch sponge on everything and then the red fabrik over that.
That's it for now. I will finish the interior tomorrow, then start redoing the chairs and the cushions for the bed. Hope you all like it. Will update as it comes along ;)

Thank you, I'm using Velour. To put it on I use Contact glue in a spraycan. It works wonders. On the first wall I just used stables and wasn't happy with that so I bought a can of this stuff and I am going to use this from now on.
I tought of finding a flag put I think that's too much. Maybe I'll get one and see how it looks. If okay I'll keep it, if not I have two old fluffy blanket's and will use either one.

Okay I'm trying to decide on the top. Should I put red fabric there as well or should I put one of the fluffy blankets that I have. It's the same color as in the back but with smaller stars. Also I'm going to redo the original interior upfront. Going to redo that with the red velour to match the interior.
Any comments and ideas are much appreciated.

Found red interior cheap so the blue one will go out soon. And a grill from 1977 chevy. The top will be done with red velour. Test fitted it and liked the outcome

Well not much to report, but this is how it's going to be for the rest of the summer. can't put any more money in it for now if I'm going to be able to finish the Rallywagon (http://www.vannin.com/threads/ubbthreads.php/topics/573620/1.html) in time for winter.
We are going to take her for the first trip this weekend.
In the end of september I'm going to strip it back down and attack all the rust and paint it. Redo the captain chairs red and the bed/lounge ;) And have it ready for next summer.
Thanks for viewing and feel free to share any ideas that you might think would look good in it or on the outside.
the more ideas the better ;)

Well the first trip went well. She did good. But when we were on our way back home I stopped to put some gas on her. A man walked up to me and starts asking about her. I told him the condotion she was in and what i had done for her so far. I liked it so much that he offered me 300.000 krónur that's 2469us dollar. So I said yes cause I knew about another van that I really wanted. So I came by and picked her upp it was a fun journey and a great weekend we had with her.

Yeah I guess so. It was a good offer, considering I got it for 500 spent about 250 on it and was offered 2469 paid on the spot. Also I know she's in good hands. He has already started full restoration on her ;)
And now I have 2 insanely awesome 1974 vans. Will start full restoration on the Rallywagon in the end of august mid september. Waiting for the garage to be cleared out by previous owners.
Yeah and also I got offered 3000 for the Love Machine (1977 Rallywagon). And since I need money for the 1974 Rallywagon... Sad to say, said yes
I got it for my 20 birthday as a present from my friends (if I remember it right they got it for 200) and maybe put about 350-400 in her for the 8years I've had it. Lot of great memories she gave my though heheee.... But I have to say, I was really sad when the girl drove it away. But that's how it is. The money will go in the 74 Rallywagon so there was a bright side to that ;)
