So I took my van into my mechanic to fix the AC which was a mistake. I had to order the blower motor myself and it turns out I have an aftermarket AC system that has a separate blower fan for the AC that the heater so long story short the AC wasn't fixed, I ripped apart the dash today and found the needed blower which is 2 fans and I think 2 motors. Is anyone familiar with this setup or know where I can find a dual blower motor for this unit? Thanks.

Brett

Here's my advice- Just find a local electric motor repair shop in your area and get your old motor rebuilt. Chances are the outfit that sold the aftermarklet kit is no longer in business and you will have no luck trying to track down a replacmement. Or scout around in boneyards for a similar aftermarket setup-and don't only look in dodges. I would guess that aftermarket companies use the same guts buit changed the housings for different makes of vehicles.

So went in and ripped out the AC today and here are some pics of the job, I thought the plastic housing for everything split in half but I couldn't get the 2 halves apart so it was hell gettin the blower out. You're right Casey the sticker on the unit is from some Texas company. I took the motor in today to a repair shop so hopefully they can fix it cheap.

Man you need a CD player worse than the A/C unit!

I love 2/70 air.. 2 windows down 70 miles an hour. rear roof vent open.

Hey guys! One step at a time here! I'm workin on the whole dash and I have the Alpine deck just waiting to install. Also when I do the deck I plan on doing all the audio; subs, rear speakers, etc. And I can't do the those till I gut the back and plan out where everything is gonna go. So there! Ha! Oh ya by the way I got the blower motor back and installed it, Motor runs smooth but not much airflow, I put the fans back on the motor the same direction I took them off which were alternating directions, was this right to begin with??
