Matthew Atlas works with law firms, companies, and claimants on how third-party funding can be pursued and utilised across a broad range of high-value commercial litigation disputes. Based in New York, his role focuses on identifying and providing a full appraisal of disputes that Vannin will consider for funding, as well as monitoring disputes that Vannin has committed to fund.
Matt joined Vannin from the Colgate-Palmolive Company, where he was Chief Litigation Counsel, managing the company's litigation matters both globally and in the U.S. Prior to this, he was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for JPMorgan Chase Bank, NA, supporting the defense of class actions and other litigations involving significant potential liability for the company's retail financial services units. A graduate of Cornell University, Columbia University Graduate School, and the University of Virginia School of Law, Matt began his legal career in the litigation department at Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer, & Feld LLP.
