Reed- i dont think the one barrel was /6 specific, i saw an older dodge pickup with a 318 that had a one barrel on it at the jy i went to last weekend. Wouldnt have believed it if i hadnt seen it myself.
I say start on the interior as long as it is in good running condition. Check the brakes and suspension, as those make the biggest difference in safety and an enjoyable driving experience.

Thanks everyone. I am pretty sure i will be hitting you guys up as I go.
Draggnasto-I don't drink but i am always able supply for my friends and family, especially those who want to help out with the van. I do cut em off though once the wrenches start hitting the ground frequently and the cuts on the plyhood get a little off centered....if ya know what i mean.

The last junkyard I go to was Pull-A-Part out by Fort Lewis. However, this was bought by Schnitzer Steel last year and turned into Pick-N-Pull. The prices have more than tripled. I don't go junkyarding much anymore. Craigslist is a better source for cheap parts these days. However, out by Lakewood there is also South Hill auto wrecking who used to specialized in trucks and vans, Meridian is pricey but often have a good selection. Weatherstripping can be purchased from metro moulded rubber ( http://metrommp.com/ ) or JC Whitney. Currently there are no suppliers for new side and rear cargo door weatherstrip. You can buy all the front door weatherstrip new, but the sides and rear you are stuck with good condition used. The one barrel carb in a B van is slant six specific. Mopar NEVER put a single barrel carburetor on anything bigger than a six cylinder. Some people confuse a BBD with a one barrel, but the BBD is a two barrel.

Yes it is. Cool that it's on CD-ROM. I have the actual books.
