Yes, yellow Astro very nice, I didnt notice the filled/shaved sliding door the first time I seen it.
Astros & Safaris did miserable at front end collision, some of the reason discontinued. The rise in sales of SUVs really hurt too. I think it was also about the same time S10s and the 4.3 engines were also discontinued.
I agree on all your points. They were still moving enough of them to make money, but the 4.3 was being phased out and they would not invest the fitment of a new engine in an unsafe platform from 1985. Strange that they did put 4 wheel discs on for the last 3 years though.
I too love the yellow one, even more that that top one, which is mine. LOL Denny from Colorado owns that beauty.
Strange there was no Astros in the show at Lost Memorial Day.
