No need to be sorry... Your opinion does offer value. We all
hate when things get trashed or never finished.

Not that your saying this... but my opinion is that:
Folks come up with all kinds of excuses to limit their opportunities in life. Experience should never be a self-limiting characteristic to not do something.

Experience is something one gets by doing.

I am sure that desire, asking how, utilizing the
skill knowledge of this site, a plan, and action
can overcome anything. That's what this site preaches!!!
We can help you(meaning me...)

Model success. What Man Can do... Man can do.

You have inspired me to succeed. Thanks.

I will be chopping.

I have seen more than one venture out of there comfort zone and be very successful.
If you feel that you are ready to take on a major project like this jump in with both feet.
You will be very surprised what you will learn just buy doing a project like this.
Not to mention new ideas that come from a different set of eyes looking at issues that have been looked at before.

NJ is chop van central.Pretty sure that is lots of help close by.

The biggest deal to to have FUN doing a project like this.

Good luck,Let the sparks fly........

quite 1 ,
I Know your a good writter , i heard you have a beautiful van . But thats all i know about you . So you have tallent .
1 You just need a place to work ( Garage )
2 Tools
3 supplies
4 and lots of extra time
5 donor parts witch in our area is hard to find .

If you want a small idea how to do metal work fix the rust spots first . This will tell you if you have the patience to tackle the rest .
Just look at the begining of my thread for the street van to get an idea of tools needed , i posted a photo for what i started with and gainded a few more snce then i'm sure .

Superbeast did an angle chop on a long wheelbase Dodge and it looks really good...much different than an angle chop shorty.

Go for it.

3 out of 4 is not bad... oh wait there's five. Seriously,
4 is the problem... but we all find time for the things we want to find time for.
Everything can be overcome...
This chop will start slow as I have to put together a plan of attack and still do somethings around the house...

Nate
I did see ken's chop on 2 occasions and was impressed with what he has done. The long wheel base did not take away from the stance.

I will be looking to do an angled chop...

We first need to understand where we are...
so we can figure out where we are going!
